Modula®

Modular Neck System

The Modula® SF neck system is currently the most complete and accurate means to restore patient anatomy through total hip replacement. It provides the surgeon with an extensive range of neck options to mimic the specific offset, anterior-posterior coverage, and leg length of each patient.

Modula® is an original patented Adler Ortho® concept, based on a linear square matrix, allowing for independent adjustment of each of the 3 geometric parameters of the hip.

Manufacturing Process

Modula® SF necks are developed through a powder manufacturing process with numerical control machines. The tolerances of the femoral stems paired with the modular necks have undergone extensive testing, and are checked against strict qualitative criteria.

Pioneered by the company founders, the Modula® Neck system is exclusive to Adler Ortho and has been in clinical use since 1987. This system has since been further developed and perfected to become one of the most superior modular systems on the market.

Materials

Modula® SF necks are made from titanium alloy, as it provides superior biocompatibility and corrosion resistance when compared with other alloys such as cobalt chrome.

Clinical Results

Adler Ortho® modular stems with Modula® SF modular necks have reported a low number of complications with survival rates comparable to those of the best monolithic implants available on the market.

Hydra Stem
The uncemented Hydra Stem with Modula® modular neck technology received an ODEP 7A rating.

APTA Stem
The uncemented Apta Stem with Modula® modular neck technology received an ODEP 13A rating.
